    He could play a comedy role just as well as a serious role. Quite an actor.

    Mr. Cutshaw is oh so correct. Per chance, did this Mr. Cutshaw graduate from an "exclusive" upper Esst Side private school with the initials, B.W.?

    In the days of the golden age of the Studio System 1920-1959, the character actor and actress were essential to every film. In that era of great ones, Mr. Arnold was one of the very best. His three very best performances came in his work with Frank Capra. His chilling role as the newspaper magnate pseudo dictator in Meet Joe Doe is magnificence. Yet he also starred in lots of comedies. A fine and versatile actor who you can appreciate everytime he comes on screen.
