Born: May 21, 1890 Bucharest, Rumania
Died: October 20, 1958 Hollywood, CA
Leaving Rumania in 1911, Elinor began playing violin with film house orchestras and moved to Los Angeles in the 1920s. He served as concert conductor at the Miller, Loews State, Egyptian and Carthay Theaters. Elinor was one of the first composers to introduce sound effects in films, and is said to have written over 1000 motion picture film scores. Elinor died of a heart attack.
