Charles did a piece for PBS-Image Union called The Dancing Bear. He portrayed an older man smitten for a younger women. He danced to seduce her. Only saw it once many years ago. Anybody else remember this show?

Charles Durning, A great person and actor. Enjoyed all his perfomances I have seen. Let his life in World War II be a reminder to everyone, to support our troops that protect all of us and the U.S.A.

  • Charles Durning... the Consumate Actor

Of the many many movies/plays Mr. Durning has been in (and in so many cases, stolen the show)and although he has played drama with terrifying focus, I am always brought back to Best Little ****house in Texas... as the Senator, specifically with the song, "A Little Sidestep". It is, in it's entirety, a delightful, funny song and Durning's expressions totally lift it. His dancing is light and smooth. He is amazing in drama... but... ooohh... I like it when he does a Little Sidestep!!!
