  Has any other actor of his caliber been so forgotten? What a shame! Big movie or small, drama or comedy, he was never less than wonderful. In his ten short years of movie and TV he must have worked 24/7! And did theater too! And radio! I have seen many comments about him, almost always positive, but many times wondering about him as a leading man. Yes, he was "hefty" but a very handsome man with charm to burn and always believable with his female co-stars, especially Linda Darnell. The two of them lit up the screen in their scenes together - tremendous chemistry. I would love TCM to devout a day to his films, so many are not available (just found EVERYBODY DOES IT, highly recommended!).

  I think Paul Douglas was a seriously under rated actor. He is a natural every man. My husband and I marvel at who is considered a leading man today in Hollywood. They have no earthiness. They look like over aged teenagers with a good PR person and stylist behind them. "No", Mr Douglas would not make it in Hollywood today. Hollywood has lost it's compass. Thank goodness we still have TCM and it's archives. Just think -- this wonderful actor passed at a mere 52. Times does change - not necessarily for the better. Lord save us all.

  I think Paul Douglas was a very Good actor and should have made more romantic movies. His part in "A Letter To Three Wife's" (Porter Hollingsway), showed a tender side of him, which I would have liked to see more of. His career was a short one. I didn't know his was so young when he died. I sure wish that there were more of his movies out there.

  I have always enjoyed Paul Douglas movies. I agree with an earlier writer --his bio is very short.

  I JUST READ YOUR VERY SHORT BIO ON PAUL DOUGLAS AND DIDN'T REALIZE HOW YOUNG HE WAS WHEN HE DIED. I ALWAYS LIKED AND ENJOYED HIS WORK AND ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT HE GAVE A HONEST PORTRAYAL OF HIS CHARACTERS. NEVER TRIED OF PAUL DOUGLAS AND HIS ACTING.

  why isn't there a biography for Paul Douglas? He was in a signaficant amount of movies and was a very good actor.
