    He was a fine character actor that played in many movies mostly as a heavy or a marshall, he did alot of tv shows and he had a wide range from comedy to drama. He was great to watch.

    That is the perfect desrcription for John Doucette, one of those actors whose name is not widely known, yet when you see him on screen you will say "yeah I know him, good actor." Yes, he was in such films as Sons of Katie Elder, Nevada smith, and Patton. He was so good John Wayne always wanted him in his films. A gravely voice to go along with his fine acting ability,Doucette was comfortable playing bad guys or good guys. He was more likeable in this reviewer's eyes as a good guy. Another fine actor sorely missed!
