After winning The Junior Goodwill Games in "D2: The Mighty Ducks," the young hockey champions accept athletic scholarships from exclusive Eden Hall Academy, whose Warriors team have held the state title for 20 years. When Ducks Coach Gordon Bombay does not immediately accompany them to Eden Hall, the team feels abandoned. Adjusting to the pressure of being at a new school, and reporting to a new coach, Orion, are just the beginning of the Ducks'' woes. They face their final test in the exciting showdown game against the bullies of the Warrior Varsity.
Coach Bombay moves to Los Angeles to head the Goodwill Games and the Ducks follow.
