I am 71 years old, and just disovered Richard Dix this year, by watching TCM's movies. First one was Stingaree, I loved it. I try to watch everyone that comes on, and my daughter has ordered me several. I think he is one of the sexiest men ever to grace the big screen, or as now, our television screen. Please show as many of his movies as you can TCM, I will try to watch every one. Devonne Flowers Oklahoma

As a kid I remember seeing the "Whistler" series: wish they were shown more often. Recently enjoyed seeing Richard Dix in "The Ghost Ship": thought he was great.

I agree that Richard Dix was more than a B-actor. I only recently discovered him thru TCM. Thank You!!!

  • TOO GOOD FOR B-MOVIES

I agree with Sharon that Richard Dix was a very talented actor who could play all kinds of roles, but I feel that he was too good an actor for B-movies; however, I would rather watch him in a B-movie than no movie at all.

  • Thank you for Richard Dix day!

Please show more Richard Dix movies! His acting ability spans the silent twenties, the glamorous thirties, & the serious forties - you have so much to select from in his 99 movie filmography.

Believe it or not, I watched almost every movie the other day that he was in. And I had never seen him before or if I did, had no idea who he was. He was handsome with the ability to play all different kinds of roles. I thoroughly enjoyed his films! Just read his bio; was surprised to learn that he was born the same year as my late grandmother. Read that he died at the young age of 56. Thank you TCM for showing his films. Next time one of his is on, I'll be looking for it. Richard Dix was truly a talented actor in every way.
