Actor Stanley DeSantis appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. DeSantis's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as the Tommy Lee Jones action picture "Black Moon Rising" (1986), the drama "Vital Signs" (1990) with Adrian Pasdar and the James Belushi comedy "Taking Care of Business" (1990). He also appeared in "Candyman" (1992) with Virginia Madsen and the dramedy "Ed Wood" (1994) with Johnny Depp. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "The Paper Chase" (CBS, 1978-79). He continued to act in productions like "After the Game" (1995), the Robin Williams smash hit comedy "The Birdcage" (1996) and "The Truth About Cats and Dogs" (1996) with Uma Thurman. He also appeared in the Robert De Niro suspenseful adaptation "The Fan" (1996). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "Clockwatchers" (1998) with Toni Collette, the Jackie Chan blockbuster action flick "Rush Hour" (1998) and "Lansky" (1999). He also appeared in the Monica Potter suspenseful mystery "Head Over Heels" (2001) and the crime picture "The Man Who Wasn't There" (2001) with Billy Bob Thornton. DeSantis was most recently credited in "Something New" (2006) with Simon Baker. DeSantis passed away in August 2005 at the age of 52.
