Jack Dempsey was a boxer who showcased his talents outside the ring with appearances in the entertainment industry. Dempsey began his career with roles in "Daredevil Jack" (1920), "The Prizefighter and the Lady" (1933) and "Sweet Surrender" (1935). Later, Dempsey acted in the comedy "Off Limits" (1953) with Bob Hope, "D*mn Citizen!" (1958) and the dramatic adaptation "Requiem For a Heavyweight" (1962) with Anthony Quinn. Dempsey was most recently credited in "Workaholics" (Comedy Central, 2010-). Dempsey was married to Estelle Taylor. Dempsey passed away in May 1983 at the age of 88.
