I wish there was more infomation about Joan Davis. I remember was her television show "I Married Joan." in the early fifties. She was a great comediene and actor. I believe she was every bit as good as Lucille Ball. She probably did not have the promotors tha Lucille Ball had. I also loved her in many of her films. Great timing.

I have always loved the movies that Joan Daivs played in. She is most funny actress in the movies..I love all of her flims and could watch them over and over..She made movies that all could watch and they were good clean movies, not like the trash they put out now..I guess movies like Joan Davis are a thing of the past, the wonderful past...

No matter how big or small the part in a movie or her TV series, she was a laugh a minute. The facial expressions, timing on dialogue and her acrobatics gave her a wide range from dry humor to slapstick comedy. I feel she's been greatly overlooked as a great performer, not finding many reproductions of her old movies available. Hopefully with the innovation of the DVD, some of her work will be remastered for us to see again.
