On A Par With Another Fav,Basil Rathbone
Two of my all-time favs have very distinctive features. Both played Sherlock Holmes, both well-loved.Carrie Fisher was truly kind in her recounting working with him in Star Wars.Too bad they didn't have him in the prequels, anyway, even if he wore slippers, use CGI to disguise it!Lovely gentleman, from Man In The Iron Mask as handsome young actor,to his underappreciated horror flix, which are a delight to watch to see him do it all!We miss you,but thank goodness we have your films,Sir Peter,RIP!
A gentleman of Stage and Screen
It never said he had any children, but he was known to take actors under his wing.Joanna Lumley expressed her gratitude to him for such.He was a real gentleman, never gave a bad performance, and to have a friend like Christopher Lee speak so fondly of you says a lot about you as a human being!
A rousing hand for a true gentleman
Incredibly great actor, fine gentleman, and truly touching hearing of his love for his wife.RIP to a true giant of the acting profession.A real baddie in many films, but really a classy actor. So handsome in MAN IN THE IRON MASK!
Incredibly gifted Actor, who was an exceptional person on and off the stage or screen. What can you say about an individual who was so disciplined and devoted to the people he loved and those who loved him ...Just words of gratiitude and kindness. Always professional in his work ethics, Peter Cushing was just as loyal and devoted in his personal life to his beloved wife Helen and family/friends. Whether delivering a splended perofrmance from Shakespeare or running around as the off-kilter Dr. Frankenstein Cushing was magnificient ! Never saw him give an average performance, has a great screen presence and perfect delivery. Best when working with comrades Lee and Price. You can tell he was enjoying his work , for his work shines brightly. Will be remembered as one of the finest Actors ever. God Bless.
On PETER CUSHING
Not only the best actor to come out of England , but to my taste , the most believable actor I have ever watched. Cushing was often saddled with badly written lines, but he could make you believe every word. A class act all the way.
Peter Cushing: the best of all
Peter Cushing was, in my opinion, the best and most underrated actor that the movies has ever had the pleasure of sharing. He is always perfect in whatever role he has played--from Shakespeare to Dr. Frankenstine. His ease and grace were a pleasure to watch and he played any part with respect--whitch must not always have been easy to do. The best thing I can say is that what he did was always believabel--He even filled tea cups to the top--whitch is one of my pet peeves. (No one else ever does)
