Willa Pearl Curtis made her mark in the world of entertainment when she worked on "The Lawton Story" (1949). In 1938, she made her screen debut in "The Toy Wife." In 1951, she played Mrs. Hannah Thomas in a film adaptation of Richard Wright's "Native Son." In 1951, she appeared in TV's "The Amos 'n' Andy Show."
