Alan Curtis, nee Harry Ueberroth, was born in Chicago,Ill on Jul 24,1909, and grew up in that area. In the early '30s he became a model appearing on many magazine and newspaper advertisments. His looks did not go unnoticed in Hollywood and he soon found himslef in the movie business. He became a leading man and was very popular in the 1940s, appearing in over 26 movies. He died on Feb 2, 1953, in New York City and is buried in the Ueberroth family plot in Evanston, Ill.
