British-born Andrew Cruickshank was a beloved actor, well-known for his memorable performances on the Hollywood movie screen. With debut roles in "The Reluctant Widow" (1950), the Laurence Olivier dramatic adaptation "Richard III" (1955), and the dramatic adaptation "The Story of Esther Costello" (1957) with Joan Crawford, Cruickshank began his career in film. He then tackled roles in "Kidnapped" (1960) with Peter Finch, the biographical drama "El Cid" (1961) with Charlton Heston and the Dolores Hart comedy adventure "Come Fly With Me" (1962). He also appeared in "Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, Series I" (1985) and "The Enfield Haunting" (2014-15). Cruickshank also acted in "The Pursuit of the Graf Spee." Andrew Cruickshank passed away in April 1988 at the age of 81.
