"Boy Wonder" is a has-been 1930s Hollywood director who lives in his pajamas, half-drunk in his crumbling mansion which is soon to be torn down and replaced with a highway. His film career now consists of shooting porn films starring a cocaine-addicted actress named Harlene and her dim-witted leading man, Rex. When Rex's boss, a financier named Big Mac arrives with his starlet fiancee Cathy Cake, Harlene overdoses. Left alone with Boy Wonder, Cathy asks him if she can pose for insert shots for his next porn film. Big Mac walks in as they are doing this and is not sure what is going on, so he jealously leaves with Cathy and all the film equipment. Soon after, aspiring actor Clark Gable appears, asking Boy Wonder to make him a star.
