When two policemen, Eddie Jillette and Joe Collins find out about a contract on the crime boss Losado, they pose as hitmen in order to go after him. This results in murder of Collins and the man named Deveneux who hired them. Jillette goes on the hunt for their assassin and winds up in New Orleans.
Pretentious claptrap clothed in a 1984 rock-music love story that never goes beyond the superficial. Springfield is a highly successful rock songwriter-performer. While driving in his car, he meets Eilber, a tense child psychologist. The two quickly fall in love, and he pursues her around San Francisco until he catches her. Interspersed with the insipid love story is a subplot about Springfield''s having songwriter''s block.
