    Ernest was a life long lover of film. He spoke highly of Ms. Davis and credited her with encouraging him to play the part the way he saw the character . It's a shame his gift was not recognized more while he was alive. Alas, he is gone, but truly not forgotten.

    Hi Michelle, I too was glad to see Ernest Anderson in that movie with Bette Davis and Olivia De Haviland...He did a great job. To Learn that Bette Davis recommended him for the job is even more fulfilling. Ted in Cali

    I just finished watching In This Our Life starring Bette Davis and Olivia de Havilland. Ernest played Parry Clay, a young black man, who aspires to be a lawyer. He was really great. I was happy to see a black actor have a decent role in a movie from the 40's which your rarely see.
