Debut album <i>Just As I Am</i> is released, featuring the singles "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Grandma's Hands."
1972:
Second album <i>Still Bill</i> features hits "Use Me" and "Lean On Me"
1974:
Performed in Zaire alongside James Brown, Etta James and B.B. King prior to the Foreman-Ali "Rumble in the Jungle" fight.
1980:
Sang the hit "Just the Two of Us" for soul-jazz saxophonist Grover Washington Jr.
1985:
Released 8th and final studio album "Watching You Watching Me"
2014:
Nominated for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
