Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Actor Omar Benson Miller is most well-known for his role as the comical and easily frightened Walter Simmons on the hit police procedural "CSI: Miami." Although the majority of his work has been for the big screen, his move to the small screen, starring in one of the most popular television shows around, was certainly a wise career choice, especially since the role was specifically written with him in mind. The affable Miller has appeared in a number of feature films, co-starring in Eminemâ¿¿s movie debut, "8 Mile"; as a dance student in the remake "Shall We Dance?," with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez; playing Keryl in the gritty modern gangster picture "Get Rich or Die Tryinâ¿¿," based loosely on the pre-fame life of rapper 50 Cent; and as a football player in "The Express." His most notable feature film role, though, was in the Spike Lee-directed World War II drama, "Miracle at St. Anna," playing the superstitious infantryman Sam Train. He also wrote, directed, and starred in the independent family comedy "Gordon Glass."
