Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

With her heartfelt music, enviable fashion sense, and humanitarian efforts, Gwen Stefani embodied the ultimate glam girl who also just happened to be a Grammy Award-winning rock star. As the former lead singer of the pop-ska band, No Doubt, Stefani was the voice behind the smash hits "Don't Speak," "Spiderwebs," and the anthemic "Just a Girl" from the band's album, Tragic Kingdom," which reigned over the charts in 1995. Stefani's inimitable look - platinum-blonde hair, scarlet lips, and midriff-baring street style - made Stefani one of the most iconic women in pop and rock music. After fronting her all-male band for many years, Stefani went solo in 2004, topping the charts with her infectious dance-punk singles such as "Rich Girl," "What You Waiting For," and that year's summer party song, "Hollaback Girl." In spite of some personal romantic problems, Stefani remained unfazed and stayed focused on her music career and her successful fashion label, L.A.M.B., proving that she was undeniably one of the most original and influential artists of her generation.
