Her character arc ended during the show's second season, after which Guevara enjoyed a recurring role as the wife of strict New York pastor Giancarlo Esposito on the short-lived drama "The Get Down." The musical drama series, co-created by Baz Luhrmann, was pulled after its second season, but Guevara was soon back on screen, enjoying a supporting turn in the critically praised romantic comedy "The Incredible Jessica James" (2017) for Netflix and series regular work on the offbeat comedy-drama series "Happy!," which starred Christopher Meloni as a cop-turned-hit man whose efforts to redeem himself are aided by an imaginary horse, voiced by Patton Oswalt.
