Havez was one of the best known songwriters of his day and one of his biggest hits was ‘Everybody Works but Father.’ He moved to Los Angeles and wrote gags for Chaplin, Arbuckle, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. Married to stage actress Cecil Cunningham, Havez died of a heart attack at his home.
