Actor James Hanlon was most commonly known for his roles in television dramas. He also was featured in the miniseries "Danielle Steel's "Zoya"" (1995-96). A few of his roles at the time were also in movies like the Michael Waite comedic drama "Fun Down There" (1990) and "Bringing Out the Dead" (1999) with Nicolas Cage. Several more television roles followed in the early 2000s, including stints on "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-) and "Criminal Minds" (CBS, 2005-). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Ian Holm dramatic adaptation "Joe Gould's Secret" (2000). Hanlon won an Outstanding Non-Fiction Special (Informational) Primetime Emmy Award for "9/11" in 2002. Hanlon was nominated for an Outstanding Cinematography For Non-Fiction Programming (Single or Multi-Camera) Primetime Emmy Award for "9/11" in 2002. Recently, he tackled roles on "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" (2005), "Weeds" (Showtime, 2005-2012) and "The Protector" (Lifetime, 2011). He also appeared in the Demetri Martin dramatic adaptation "Taking Woodstock" (2009). Most recently, Hanlon acted on "Legends" (TNT, 2014-15).
