James Hanlon was an actor best known for his portrayal of characters throughout various television series. He also was featured in the miniseries "Danielle Steel's "Zoya"" (1995-96). He also worked in film during these years, including roles in "Fun Down There" (1990) and "Bringing Out the Dead" (1999). Several more television roles followed in the nineties and the early 2000s, including stints on "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the dramatic adaptation "Joe Gould's Secret" (2000) with Ian Holm. Hanlon won an Outstanding Non-Fiction Special (Informational) Primetime Emmy Award for "9/11" in 2002. Hanlon was nominated for an Outstanding Cinematography For Non-Fiction Programming (Single or Multi-Camera) Primetime Emmy Award for "9/11" in 2002. More recently, he tackled roles on "Criminal Minds" (CBS, 2005-) and "Person of Interest" (CBS, 2011-). He also appeared in the Demetri Martin dramatic adaptation "Taking Woodstock" (2009). Most recently, Hanlon acted on "Legends" (TNT, 2013-15).
