Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Chinese actress Hsu Chi, often credited as Shu Qi, started out in erotic movies, but soon moved on to more mainstream fare, including 1998's fantastical Asian box-office smash, "The Storm Riders." In 1999, Chi appeared in the 1999 Jackie Chan action movie "Gorgeous," and she became even better known to Western audiences for her role in 2002's "The Transporter," featuring Jason Statham. Shifting to horror, she starred in the Pang Brothers' eerie tale "The Eye 2" and worked with Danny Pang again in 2007's "Forest of Death." Continuing to gravitate towards action films, Chi was later featured in "Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen," starring Donnie Yen.
