David Jackson is a well-known television director and writer best known for his work on "One Tree Hill" and "The District." Jackson earned his first film writing credit on the 1983 adventure film "Mystery Mansion," and soon found work writing for such TV series as "The Equalizer" and "Miami Vice." He became an episodic director on "Miami Vice" and quickly became a full-time director on such primetime shows as "Houston Knights" and "21 Jump Street." In 1991 he wrote and directed the TV documentary "Voices that Care," which interviewed such musicians and celebrities as Michael Bolton, Jimmy Buffett, and Nell Carter as they recorded the title song in support of United States troops involved in Operation Desert Storm. From 1990 to 1992 Jackson worked on the sci-fi series "Swamp Thing," and the following year wrote and directed the made-for-TV action thriller "Death Train." Jackson worked steadily through the '90s on such TV movies as "The Jesse Ventura Story" and "Atomic Train" while directing such series as "Witchblade" and "Nash Bridges." Jackson, who also produced the 2003 TV movie "Do or Die," has since directed the 2009 romantic comedy "Wishing Well" and worked on multiple episodes of "Charmed" and...
