"THE Thin Man Director"
Van Dyke deserves enormous credit for bringing non-stop wit (unlike the more serious book) to "The Thin Man" Also, the first sequel, "After the Thin Man," might be (note use of the subjunctive) superior to the original. The proof is in the pudding with his direction of "I Love You Again," which shows more flair, timing and sophistication than many of the other Powell-Loy movies.
