Pink Panther, The (2006)
Inspector Jacques Clouseau, a name that strikes fear into the hearts of criminals everywhere--and anyone else he comes across as well. Maybe it's because his deductive powers are so inadequate, his grasp of the obvious so elusive, his command of the language so severely limited and his physical coordination so completely lacking. But while his approach may be unorthodox and often confounding, he always manages to solve the crime--in his own fashion. At least until now. World famous soccer coach Yves Gluant has just led Team France to victory over Team China. Surrounded by grateful adoring fans and his beautiful lover, the international pop star Xania, Gluant is felled by a poisoned dart. In the ensuing panic, Gluant's priceless diamond ring, "The Pink Panther," mysteriously disappears. The murder becomes a media sensation and a national obsession. Cracking the case falls to Chief Inspector Dreyfus, who is up for the prestigious Medal of Honor--for the seventh time. Aware that he cannot afford to make a single mistake--at least none that can be attributed to him--Dreyfus presses the indefatigable Inspector Clouseau into service. Closeau and his new assistant, the steadfast, stoic Gendarme Gilbert Ponton, follow a tangle of clues that leads them all over Paris and, eventually, New York City. In the Big Apple, Clouseau and Ponton and travel to Times Square and the nearby diamond district, as well as to the city's posh Fifth Avenue and the renowned Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Along the way, Clouseau and Ponton are waylaid by elusive diamond cutters, would-be thugs, notorious bandits, smarmy casino owners, secret agents, mysterious trainers and an exotic beverage called "The Flaming Mojito." One by one, Clouseau narrows his search and tracks down the most likely suspects. They include Xania, a spurned soccer star, a millionaire casino owner and a flirtatious P.R. publicist. Clouseau's process is fascinating, if harrowingly circuitous. But he never loses his focus, his purpos

Connie and Carla (2004) as Botox'S Friend
Connie and Carla are two small-town 'girls' whose dreams of stardom have taken them nowhere. From their debut in a school cafeteria to their current gig slinging drinks and belting out tunes at a Midwestern airport lounge, the singing and dancing duo simply refuse to let the less-than-enthusiastic crowd response dampen their showbiz drive. For Connie and Carla, everything's coming up roses, naysaying boyfriends and snoring audience members notwithstanding. The girls lose one of their few supporters when their boss Frank ends up on the wrong end of a criminal deal--a scene they unfortunately happen to witness. Quicker than a fast change in the second act, Connie and Carla pack up their battered dreams and extensive assortment of wigs and costumes and hit the road, running for their lives. Convinced the killers will never look for them in a place utterly devoid of culture, the pair ends up in the Land of Dreamers, Los Angeles. In a new place with new identities, they create a cover (with a lot of cover-up) that makes them the toast of the town--headlining in a local drag club, they soon find the acclaim that has always eluded them, singing the show tunes they've always loved. Being famous is their dream come true--who cares if includes a tiny little lie? But trying to keep their secret turns out to be a real drag, especially when Connie meets Jeff, a real nice guy with whom she'd really like to be a real girl.

Paycheck (2003)

For his most recent gig, he expects to receive over four billion dollars. Upon completion of the job, however, Jennings is given a filled envelope--not with a check for his billions, but containing random objects. It is communicated to him that he had agreed to forfeit his payment for this specific project. With his memory erased, the meticulous engineer attempts to use the objects in the envelope to figure out what happened to him in his now obscured past. Soon, federal agents are after Jennings and he teams up with his old flame, Rachel, who helps him uncover the mystery of his past--and the question behind why the people whom he once worked for, now want him dead.
