b. January 9, 1862 Virginia City, NV, February 2, 1926 Hollywood, CA. One of the first actresses to leave the stage for movies, Ward was married to actor Sedley Brown and was a leading lady in Oliver Morosco's stock company in Burbank. She played at the Majestic in San Francisco and on the stage in Reno, Nevada. During her career she acted with William Faversham and Laurence Barrett and made her last stage appearance in Los Angeles in 1911. Her last film appearances were in the Valentino films "Cobra" and "The Eagle." Ward died following a lengthy illness.
