Michigan J. Frog is a tiny, male adult top-hatted,cane swinging, frequently singing & dancing Warner Brothers Cartoon toad (and current Warner Bros. Network icon), who debuted in the hilarious 1955 Looney Tunes cartoon: One Froggy Evening ( and the sequel Another Froggy Evening), written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones. Michigan is famous for singing "The Michigan Rag" ( an original Tin-Pan Alley-type song written by Jones, Maltese and Warner's musical director Milt Franklyn, sung by Bill Roberts). In his outstanding first cartoon appearance, Michigan is a seemingly normal frog, that frequently thwarts his greedy owner's dreams of wealth.
