David Hoberman is one of the leading producers in filmmaking. His career began in the mailroom at ABC, but before long he was working with Norman Lear's production company, Tandem. Before joining Disney as a film executive in 1985, Hoberman worked as a talent agent at ICM. He worked his way up at Disney and eventually became president of the Motion Picture Group of Walt Disney Studios, which made him responsible for the live-action films of Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures. While there, he contributed to numerous blockbusters including: "Pretty Woman," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?," "Father of the Bride," "Sister Act," "Dead Poets Society," and "Cool Runnings." He eventually left Disney to work for MGM, and became the president of Mandeville. With a long and wide-reaching career, Hoberman is best known as a producer. In this capacity he has worked on the sled dog comedy "Eight Below," the quirky detective series "Monk," and the wildly successful romantic comedy "The Proposal
