Actor John Thomson appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Thomson began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the biopic "The Young Poisoner's Handbook" (1996) with Hugh O'Conor, the comedy adaptation "The Man Who Knew Too Little" (1997) with Bill Murray and the Gary Olsen comedic adaptation "Up 'n' Under" (1998). He also appeared in the TV movie "Tainted Blood" (USA, 1992-93). Thomson worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Cold Feet (UK)" (ITV 1, 1998-2003). He kept working in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, starring in the Craig Ferguson comedy "Born Romantic" (2001), "24 Hour Party People" (2002) with Steve Coogan and the drama "Reinventing Eddie" (2004) with John Lynch. More recently, he continued to act in the Fiona Allen comedic drama "Fat Slags" (2007) and the adventure for the whole family "Inkheart" (2009) with Helen Mirren. Most recently, Thomson acted on "Legends of Stand-Up & Bernard Righton" (UKTV, 2015-).
