Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Best known as D.L. Hawkins of TV's "Heroes," Leonard Roberts graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor's degree in acting, Roberts managed to land roles in several reputable features, including "Love Jones," "He Got Game," and "Hoodlum." By the end of the 1990s, he had gained his first recurring role, as Forrest Gates, an undercover military operative, in the hit series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." After his arc on the popular show came to an end, he found work on a string of TV dramas, including "JAG," "Providence," and" NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service." In 2002, he starred opposite actor/rapper/comedian, Nick Cannon, in the fish-out-of-water drama "Drumline." After a string of guest spots on a number of TV dramas, he was cast on "Heroes," where he played a husband and father who can phase through solid objects. The series proved to be hugely popular, and so with the accompanying notoriety Roberts garnered guest spots on such noteworthy TV dramas as "Private Practice," "Castle," and "Criminal Minds."
