Bugs Bunny is a popular wise-cracking ("What's up, Doc?"), medium sized, carrot-chewing, male adult Warner Brothers Cartoon rabbit. He is one of the most beloved and recognizable animated characters on Earth. Bugs' basic look and character style was created in 1940, by the manic director: Tex Avery (who starred Bugs Bunny in A Wild Hare). Bugs Bunny's Flatbush. N.Y. accent was created by Mel Blanc. In 1943, Robert "Bob" McKimson created the definitive Bugs Bunny model sheet look, for the Warner Brothers Studio . The name 'Bugs' comes from the animation director: Ben 'Bugs' Hardaway; from an early 1939 character model sheet that had "Bugs' Bunny" written on it.
