  I am trying to find out where Ruth Chatterton fits in our heritage. I recently found out about her through family discussions. My grandmother on my mother's side was Jane Chatterton born 1881 in Campbellton New Brunswick,Canada She was married 2x and her last name was Featherbay and her final marriage her name was Barr. She passed away 1967 in New Lexington Ohio where is buried. If anyone reads this can you be of help? Diane Shafer

  I am a desdent relative of Mr. Ruth Chatterton ad a BIG fan. Iwould like to now as much about her as Ican where do I find any boksor moves about her?

• Great Actress! One Of My Favorites!

  She was a great actress who is underrated. Her performance in Dodsworth should have landed this beauty an Academy Award for Best Actress, or even a nomination. She was so great in that film---so mean and a sad character. Bette Davis couldn't play the role of Fran better. I loved her in Frisco Jenny and Female as well. I'm just glad that we are able to view her and her talents forever. She was an amazing woman she was on Broadway while in her teens, she flew planes across the country, wrote novels, translated play from French, etc. Very talented woman. One of my favorites. I also like Norma Shearer (my favorite) and Deanna Durbin.

  Ruth Chatterton was excellent in the movie 'Lilly Turner' and I look forward to viewing more of her movies on TCM.
