Today, my wife and i were watching TCM and lo and behold there was this couple, dancing as if they were before the throne of God. We had never heard of Marge and Gower Champion, but needless to say we were thrilled to see the magic they created. I was born in 1945, so i have always loved classic movies, and thought i'd seen the bestbut this was another level of art. I know now that Gower has passed on, but i hope Marge is still here, and that she reads these words of gratitude. We have discovered a real treasure today, and it brightened our day here in the snows of Michigan. Ray White

When growing up I loved the musicals. I had the biggest crush on Grower I thought he was so handsome and I would imagine myself in his arms whirling around the stage. I loved Marge it was ok she was his wife. I always wish I could be a dancer, singer, actress. They were so very special and they really had that magic. I was watching Hello Dolly not to long ago and noticed he was the choreogapher and Gene kelly was the director. Marge was not listed so I looked them up and saw where they had divorced in 1973. They were great

Have always liked the team of Marge and Gower Champion. I was a child to teenager during their most popular time together as a dance team and I did not fully appreciate them until seeing them in movies on tcm. I never noticed the height difference between the Champion's or that Mr. Champion had so many other credits. I agree with critic John Crosby's comment and love to see them dance. Unfortunately I do not think they will be remember as much as they should. Thanks for having such a great website.
