Woodrow Chambliss was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Chambliss began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the Steve Forrest western "The Wild Country" (1970), "Glen and Randa" (1971) with Steve Curry and the western "Face to the Wind" (1972) with Cliff Potts. He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Cutter's Trail" (CBS, 1969-1970) and "Footsteps" (CBS, 1972-73). Chambliss worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Gunsmoke" (CBS, 1955-1975). He continued to act in productions like the comedy "Greaser's Palace" (1972) with Albert Henderson and the Ernest Borgnine action picture "The Devil's Rain" (1975). He also starred in the TV movies "Gargoyles" (CBS, 1972-73) and "The Great Man's Whiskers" (NBC, 1972-73). He also was featured in the TV movie "Forever" (CBS, 1977-78). Chambliss last appeared in "Through the Magic Pyramid" (NBC, 1981-82). Chambliss passed away in January 1981 at the age of 67.
