    janis carter was a cool beauty who played femme fatales. among her films are "framed", "the woman on pier 13", "flying leathernecks", "night editor", "i love trouble", "the notorious lone wolf" and "the power of the whistler". she had the looks of ann sheridan and rita hayworth.
