    For years I had heard of Nancy Carroll and how temperamental she was and how that helped ruin her movie career. Well, this morning I watched "After the Dance". Temperamental she may have been but I was struck immediately by her sweetness, the forthright way in which she gave her performance and the bright shiningness of her face. She reminded me a great deal of Claudette Colbert in face, form and talent. I wish there were more examples of her work available. This morning was the first time I have been able to see her in a film.
