  • Another vote for an Eddie Cantor box set

He is a great entertainer who needs to be seen to be believed! Pre-code Busby Berkley dance numbers add to the eye-popping spectacle. These movies are now 80 years old, and part of the USA's cultural heritage, they deserve to be seen.

There should be a one or 2 boxed set of Eddie Cantor Movies starting with 1930's Whoopee and ending with 1943's Thank Your Lucky Stars. My personal favorite is Roman Scandals. That Young & Beautiful number is over the top, although Annie Lennox recorded it on a solo recording. Curiously, the humor seems only mildy dated. As you can see, I love the guy. A boxed set would be very welcomed. Vicki

I agree with everyone who would love to see Eddie's work on dvd. I have a cd with all of his greatest hits and listen to it over and over. I have taped his movies over the years, but my videos are wearing thin. Please TCM put Eddie Cantor on a priority list and introduce this wonderful entertainer and humanitarian to a new audience.

I would like to see and hear more of Eddie Cantor. I love "Margie" and "If You Knew Susie" and would like to see them performed by him. I can't find any movies on DVD with him and TCM is the logical place to look!

  • Yes! Eddie Cantor box set NOW!

I love Eddie Cantor. The demand has increased quite a bit over this last year as Eddie Cantor's work seems to be more and more recognized, due solely to the internet. I could count on a fingerless hand how many things of Eddie's are actually produced and in distribution. WE NEED HIS MOVIES ON DVD, and of course a box set is the way to go. Release them all!!!!!!!!

I only just discovered Eddie Cantor less than a year ago. Since then, I've delved into his films and found him completely endearing and funny. I thoroughly enjoy him as an actor and singer.

If not for TCM and of are nations history in fim be lost. i feel movies are a window into history. See people and movies I never knew wer around. Eddie Cantor was a real talent. I have two teens and there amazed at older movies and new stars they never knew were around.

Eddie Cantor was one of the biggest musical comedy stars on Broadway in the 20s and in films of the 30s and up to WW II. Cantor was a a dynamo of movement and song with plenty of schtick thrown in. He also starred in a series of highly regard film musical comedies like Whoopee, Palmy Days, Kid Millions, and Ali Baba Goes to Town. When his film career slowed down he conquered radio and was an early TV star as well.
