    Michael Callan was one of the last stars groomed by Columbia under its old contract player system. Energetic, Handsome Callan starred in The Interns, and its sequel The New Interns with Columbia colleague Stefanie Powers, Michael Callan hit his stride in Cat Ballou s smash hit with Jane Fonda and Lee Marvin, and Carl Foreman's all star anti war movie The Victors starring George Peppard and Albert Finney
