While watching a bio of Errol Flynn on TCM, they told of an incedent in which Flynn, knowing that Cabot, needing work badly, was hired for a movie that Flynn poured all of his money into. The film was about William Tell of Apple fame.Flynn ran out of money and the film never got made.Cabot, instead of being greatfull that Flynn tried to help a fellow actor who had fallen on hard times and was now himself broke, went to where Flynn was resideing and confiscated all of Flynn's belonging's.Since hearing that story I always wondered about Cabot's side of the story. If there is a person who knows of this I wish they would write in and give the other side.

I recently watched Captain Caution and Bruce Cabot played a bad guy. I had no idea he was so incredibly handsome, having only seen him performing in his later years. I knew he was long time friends with John Wayne. They must have been quite a duo in Hollywood. Cabot's performance in Captain Caution merits watching. One wonders why he didn't become equally as famous as John Wayne.
