Greatest what? Everything - director, writer, actor, etc. Watch his films. Namely Annie Hall. TCM does a good job of showing a good variety of them.

Obviously, Allen had a blast with Freud. Read a few books Susan and then watch his movies. Few can comprehend the true work of an artist.

  • SIMPLY THE BEST

Woody Allen is simply the best. Not only as a director but as an actor too. He has a great type of humor which is spicy and ironic and it can make you laugh for hours with just a single line. His movies are extremely funny but some of them are also bitter. In all his movies we can watch every side of life -happy or unhappy- while we are listening to his favourite jazz.Although he is very successful-tones of awards- he continues to search himself -and us- by doing one great thing... His excellent movies. Keep going Woody!

  • Okay...so what's so funny?

I must be blind as I don't see much humor in any of Woody Allen's movies. I see a man with alot of pain and suffering. In my opinion I see a man that may have from some form of neuroticism and from what I can tell he needs a few sessions on the couch. Boy, would S. Freud have a blast with him!!! I feel sorry for the love he must have been deprived of as a child. It's so sad to see a person devour their selves for other's to laugh at. Not funny at allFunny..no...mentally stable...not a chance. No wonder he doesn't come out of his "closet" anymore...hell, who would? Hide Woody, hide!!!!
