George Burns was one of the few old time stars that still managed to add a classic old-time movie touch to more recent movies(more recent meaning 80s or early 90s). His Oh God movies were great. And 18 again. I know alot of people that didn't like 18 again, but I guess Those people weren't able to pick up on Burn's classic appeal. Burn's grandson, after they switched consciences acted just like Burns. His acting gave a sort of classic, old time feel. And once Burn's mind was in his grandson's body, he had a newfound confidence, charm, and wit. He was now able to attract the pretty girl and to stand up to the frat bullies that had been harrassing him. This almost goes to show more differences between the way people were many years ago and the way they were in more recent years. My favorite scene was when the kid, with Burn's conscience, threw a roaring 20s style party. I liked it just because I'm a fan of classic, old-time music, movies, style, and behavior. I'm just more attracted in general to the way the world was in the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, then in more recent decades and today. I'm not sure how else to explain it. You may have read my Judy Garland comments. Just alot of things; music, movies, celebrities, and people in general, there's been many changes over the decades. Sadly, not all of them for the better. I know that there's nothing I can do about it, but there's nothing wrong with wishing and dreaming. More people believed in God and heaven back then too. I still do.

I believe that part of his longevity was due to the fact that he loved one woman and the fact that she was part of everything in his life. I did not know him personally, but it seemed he lived a more than usual stress free life and I believe that came from being proud of one's self for living such a moral lifestyle.
