I am a huge Yul Brynner fan and would love to own as many of his movies as possible. The one that I wish for the most is "The Journey", a film I only saw once but have loved ever since. I had always assumed that, at some point, you would release this film on DVD, or Blu-Ray or at this point maybe for download via your site. So I've been watching and waiting for years and still you do nothing. Please, this fan begs you, release this film on DVD!!

Yul Brynner always has an exciting presence on the screen, and thankfully he has been preserved for posterity on film. Versatile and always excellent, his performances consistently bring that something extra and elevate everything connected with all of his films to a higher level due to his influence - the substance of his films is more interesting because he himself is so interesting.

Although he was popular in his lifetime, I have always felt that Yul Brynner's acting skills were completely under utilized and under appreciated. As an actor he was more recognized for his shaved head and blatant sex appeal than he was for his ability to act and convey a complete transformation through his use of subtle facial expression changes. The world lost a truly great actor when Yul Brynner died in 1985. We've not seen the likes of him before or since and I doubt we ever will!

Just saw over half of "The Journey" on your station yesterday. My sister-in-law and I both love this movie and it has not been released on vhs or dvd. Please try to get this released to either format. This movie has a strong cast, and shows off Yul Brynner with all of his very visible appeal.

I have enjoyed TCM's Summer under the stars for a couple of years now and still waiting for Yul Brenner day. I would like to see "The Buccaneer". I have asked for this movie to appear in schedule for over a year now, and as of yet, no luck. What will it take to get this movie on the schedule??????

I was about 11 when I first saw him in The Ten Commandments. Already "in love" with Charlton Heston (The Naked Jungle), I was awe struck by his commanding presence. He was regal, sincere and inscrutable. He was sexy; catlike when he moved and unaffected by his own charisma. I next saw him in The Sound and the Fury, with Joanne Woodward and lost my heart forever. Finally, renowned as an actor and later as an anti-smoking advocate, his lasting legacy is that in his work and private life he was a man of great character, generosity and integrity. Now, THAT is McSexy.

Yul Brynner was an actor who wanted to please his fans and he worked very hard at doing this. When he was a young man he became a trapeze artist in a circus, but because of a major injury he left there and became an actor. When doing character roles in such movies as The 10 Commandments, The King and I, and Kings of the Sun, he portrayed them with unique and memorable acting skills. He was a man of charm and power, but he also, in some ways, showed a comic side that was fun to watch. He showed us what a king and a leader should be like. He will always be remembered as a one of a kind, all time great actor. If you spell his name Youl, the first 3 letters spell YOU. He always thought of his fans. Yul, even though you aren't with us any more, you will always be thought of with love and admiration because YOU'RE THE TOPS.
