Born: February 14, 1921 Liverpool, England
Died: November 8, 1971 Los Angeles, CA
Brooks went to the U.S. in 1916 and began writing music for Hollywood in 1940, working with songwriters Walter Scharf, Hoagy Carmichael and Harry Warren. Probably his best known work is “That’s Amore” which he co-wrote with Warren.
