An obscene phone caller is so charming that many of his victims find themselves hoping he will call again. In fact, one woman is so taken with the caller that she goes to a great deal of trouble to find where he lives so that she can see if he is as compelling in person as he is on the phone.

During India's first years of independence from Britain, Steve Gibbs lands his armaments loaded plane in Ghandahar province hoping to get rich. Steve's love interest is Joan Willoughby, the blind daughter of a parson.

Because of his attempt to escape, evil Captain Gilbert decides to return him to England on charges of mutiny. Events, including arrival of plague, keep Tallant busy in New South Wales.
