He was also quite good at making things look good and work, for example, he designed the awesome working sawed-off shotgun "trouble-shooter" toted by his friend Nick Adams (as Johnny Yuma) in his TV show, "The Rebel," on which Breedlove also provided Special Effects. Married Hollywood actress/dancer Portia, In 1937 they had one child, Craig Breedlove, who was the World Land Speed record holder until 1983. Craig broke the world Speed World Record a total of five times, and was the first man to break 400MPH, then 500MPH and lastly 600MPH miles per hour in his Spirit of America jet powered car. Married stage and screen actress/singer/dancer Mary R. Stewart in November of 1946, and they had one child, Georgina Breedlove. Norman's mother was Florence Van Deusen (Breedlove) a couturier in Hollywood. Among others, she designed collections for Anna Mae Wong and Joan Crawford.
