Carol Woods rose to fame as an actress, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of her Hollywood career. Known for making audiences laugh, Woods began her acting career in comedies like "Eddie Murphy Raw" (1987) with Eddie Murphy and Tatyana Ali and "Stepping Out" (1991) with Liza Minnelli and Julie Walters. She had an early role on the television special "Blood Brothers: The Joey DiPaolo Story" (HBO, 1992-93). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). In the nineties, she acted in "The Parent 'Hood" (1994-99), "The Practice" (ABC, 1996-2004) and "Third Watch" (NBC, 1999-2005). As her entertainment career progressed, she appeared in the Sean Penn dramatic comedy "Sweet and Lowdown" (1999). She also lent her voice to "Knitwits" (1997).
