Jack Whiting was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Whiting began his career with a role in "College Lovers" (1930). Whiting made film his next project, appearing in "Top Speed" (1930). Later in his career, Whiting acted in the comedy adaptation "Give Me a Sailor" (1938) with Martha Raye. Whiting passed away in February 1961 at the age of 60.

A well-known Broadway song and dance man, Whiting was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1901. He appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1922, Hold Everything, Hazel Flagg, a revival of Annie Get Your Gun, and many other musicals and plays. He also appeared in several films, including one with the British musical comedy star Jessie Matthews. Whiting was married to Beth Sully Fairbanks, the first wife of Douglas Fairbanks and mother of Doug Jr. Jack Whiting died in New York City in 1959. LSD
