father: George Westmore. Wigmaker, saloon manager, makeup artist. Born 1879, died 1931; British; worked as a wigmaker and saloon manager in England; emigrated to the US and first worked in film at Metro Pictures beginning in 1917; developed many film makeup techniques and standards which are still in use.
brother: Montague Westmore. Makeup artist. Born 1902, died 1940; feature work included makeup for "Forbidden" (1932); later signed with Selznick International Pictures and did the makeup for Selznick's "Gone With the Wind" (1939) shortly before his death.
brother: Perc Westmore. Makeup artist. Born 1904, died 1970; worked for Warner Bros. from the early 1930s through the early 50s on films including "Footlight Parade" (1933), "The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex" (1939), "Casablanca" (1943) and "Caged" (1950); later occasional credits included "The Good Guys and the Bad Guys" (1969); was also a recognized expert and specialist in women's makeup and feminine beauty treatments.
brother: Ernest Westmore. Makeup artist. Born 1904, died 1968; worked for 20th Century-Fox for a time in the 1930s and later for Eagle-Lion Pictures, specialists in low-budget films; hosted "The Ern Westmore Show" and "Search for Beauty", two short-lived 1955 instructional TV programs.
brother: Wally Westmore. Makeup artist. Born 1906, died 1973; headed up Paramount's makeup division for 43 years; credits included the innovative makeup for "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1932) and also "The Major and the Minor" (1942), "The Ten Commandments" (1956), and "The Odd Couple" (1968).
brother: Frank Westmore. Makeup artist. Born 1923, died 1985; also worked on Cecil B. DeMille's remake of "The Ten Commandments" (1956) and was active in TV work, including the TV-movie "Kung Fu" (1972) and the miniseries "Pearl" (1978).
grandson: Michael George Westmore. Makeup artist. Son of Monte Westmore born in 1938; work includes "Rocky" (1976), "Raging Bull" (1980), "Blade Runner" (1982), "2010" (1984), "The Clan of the Cave Bear" (1986); "Roxanne" (1987) and "Revenge" (1990); won Emmy for work on "Eleanor and Franklin" and an Oscar for "Mask".
nephew: Kevin Westmore. Makeup artist. Work includes "Predator 2" (co-makeup 1990); won 1999 Emmy for work on "The X-Files".
nephew: Marvin Westmore. Makeup artist. Work includes "The Buddy Holly Story" (1978).
nephew: Monty Westmore Jr. Makeup artist. Work includes "Blaze" (1989).
niece: Pamela S Westmore. Makeup artist. Work includes "Dominick and Eugene" (1988).
great-granddaughter: Mackenzie Westmore. Actor. Had regular role on the NBC serial "Passions".
